At 47 years old, I recently achieved a significant milestone by earning my joinery/cabinetmaking certification from BCIT in Canada. It was a moment of immense pride for me!
However, life took an unexpected turn when a work injury prevented me from continuing as a journey person. Now, every task comes with pain, and I'm currently undergoing treatment, staying at home with a regimen of medications and physiotherapy.
As you might imagine, being physically limited and confined to home has taken a toll on my mental health. Leaving behind my beloved career as a cabinetmaker was incredibly difficult and disheartening.
Not long ago, I found myself browsing Etsy, and it brought back memories of when I used to buy vintage products from Etsy stores around 20 years ago. It also reminded me of the time I curated my own successful Brazilian online store. Those were joyful days!
This shop has become my source of happiness now. I have a deep love for art, vintage items, and the thrill of discovering unique jewelry and decorations. Embracing my retro spirit, this venture has helped me focus on something I love, diverting my attention while my body heals.
I feel professionally fulfilled by selling products that I believe are timeless. Having been an enthusiastic buyer myself, I am now both an Etsy buyer and a proud seller.
