☕ This charming set conjures a cozy fireside tea ritual straight out of a mountain cottage.
Each piece is lovingly handcrafted in earthenware and fully glazed: a warm, terra-cotta brown inside to echo the clay’s rustic soul, and a deep forest-green outside that pools in every curve. Clean bands of mustard yellow and rust-orange arc-like stylized blossoms around each mug, the tall teapot, and its squat sugar bowl.
The teapot stands tall and elegant—about 21.5 cm (8 ½ in) high, 19 cm (7 ½ in) wide across its body, with a 10 cm (4 in) diameter—its gently tapering spout pouring smoothly and its gracious C-shaped handle fitting perfectly in hand. The lid, topped with a little knob for pinching between thumb and forefinger, mirrors the same dripped-petal pattern as the pot below. The sugar bowl (12.5 cm/5 in tall × 10 cm/4 in wide) echoes the teapot’s curves and sits securely under its own lid.
Accompanying the set are six petite mugs—each about 7 cm (2 ⅞ in) tall with a 6.5 cm (2 ⅝ in) diameter—perfectly palm-sized for a morning espresso, a soothing matcha, or a post-supper herbal infusion.
While there’s no maker’s mark, the slight irregularities in glaze thickness, the small tool-marks, and the way colors collect at the base all speak to a mid-century artisan studio—think 1960s–’70s pottery, when form and surface decoration were one seamless craft.
✔️ Very good vintage condition: The fine crazing of aged glaze and a few clay flecks caught in the firing that only deepen its handmade charm. A Glazed crack at the sugar bowl lid and a lost of color at the side of the teapot - which shows they were born during fabrication. Again, each is a hallmark of its handmade, wheel-thrown origins rather than damage from use. There is a tiny superficial chip at the edge of the sugar bowl. Check the photos to see.
