🤎 Wrapped in genuine, wonderfully worn hide and stamped “Made in England,” its stitched case hugs a thick ceramic cup that’s easily removable for cleaning—or swapping in your favorite mug.
📐 Standing about 12 cm tall (4 ¾ in) with handle-to-edge width of 14 cm (5 ½ in) and a 10.8 cm (4 ¼ in) bottom diameter, it’s the perfect size for a hearty half-pint or display beside your books and brass knick-knacks.
Crafted in the 1970s when handcrafted leatherware and sturdy ceramics were all the rage, this tankard steeps your décor in genuine British heritage.
⚠️ The inner ceramic liner shows a small chip inside —making it best suited as a standout decorative piece—yet the leather cover's snug sleeve design means you can slip in any similarly sized cup to sip your coffee or ale in style. The leather sleeve internal top diameter is 3 1/8 inches (8 cm), so that's the diameter of a substitute cup if you want to sip some beverage safely.
✔️ Overall, the leather casing is in good vintage condition, bearing the patina of real use that gives it character (see photos). The ceramic insert is sound aside from that tiny chip and beginning of crazing, so treat it as a display treasure or pair it with a replacement liner and enjoy safely.
