The bucket is made of durable lacquer-style melamine, with an insulated double wall to keep your ice frozen longer.

✔️ Very good vintage condition. There are just a few marks from use and age:
-- The ropes have light yellowing from time.
-- Two small areas of pinkish hue on the bucket.
-- Two tiny chips to the melamine surface, hidden beneath the rope/wood details (see photos).
-- Lid knob revolves around but remains securely attached.
None of these affects the sturdiness or overall stylish look.
📜 Melamine ice buckets were extremely popular in the mid-20th century, especially in the 1960s and 70s, when entertaining at home and cocktail culture were booming. Makers experimented with bright glossy plastics, nautical accents, and double-wall insulation. This example, marked Made in Taiwan, reflects the global trade of the period when many Western designs were manufactured in Asia.
