đ¸ A dapper little bear who takes his job seriously!
This hand-painted resin figurine sits behind an old-fashioned box camera with bellows, wearing a cobalt-blue beret, deep-green waistcoat over a cream shirt, and a red bow tie. The modeling is wonderfully detailedâfrom the textured âfurâ to tiny buttons and the cameraâs lens housing, so it reads like a miniature scene on your shelf.

Good vintage condition with light, expected signs of age. The bearâs right foot shows some discoloration and minor surface wear; small scuffs to high points of paint (please zoom photos). Felt pads on the base. âMade in Chinaâ label present. Clean, sturdy, and display-ready.
đ Why we call them âTeddyâ bears
The name comes from U.S. President Theodore âTeddyâ Roosevelt. In 1902, a political cartoon by Clifford Berryman depicted Roosevelt refusing to shoot a tied-up bear during a Mississippi hunt; the image went viral for its day and inspired Brooklyn toymaker Morris Michtom to sell a plush âTeddyâs Bear.â At the same time in Germany, Margarete Steiffâs company introduced the jointed bear 55PB (1902/1903), helping launch a worldwide craze.
Resin character figurinesâespecially whimsical animals with professionsâboomed in home dĂŠcor in the late 1980sâ1990s (think Boyds Bears & Friends resin lines beginning in 1993). The material, painting style, felted base, and âMade in Chinaâ label are consistent with that era.
