🤍 Step back into the era of avocado fridges and mushroom canisters with this sealed set of eight Libbey spice jars, circa 1970s.
Each clear glass jar holds about 5 ¼ ounces ( 155 ml) and comes topped with a natural cork stopper and a sheet of printed labels (note: the adhesive may have aged).
The box itself transforms into a mini spice rack by reversing the front panel—mid‑century practicality at its best.
📜 Libbey traces its origins to the New England Glass Company, founded in 1818. In 1888, under the leadership of Edward Drummond Libbey, the company moved to Toledo, Ohio, where it has remained a pioneer in glass design and production. Over the decades, designers like Louis Vaupel, Arthur Douglas Nash and Freda Diamond helped make Libbey glassware synonymous with quality and style. Today, Libbey Inc. still operates from Toledo, continuing a legacy of American glassmaking. This spice set was produced by the Libbey Division of Owens‑Illinois, reflecting the company’s 1970s emphasis on functional, attractive kitchenware.

✔️ Condition – Unopened, unused vintage stock. The shrink‑wrap has tiny pinholes from age, and the adhesive on the included labels may have dried after 50+ years, but the jars are pristine. Being sealed for decades, the corks are likely still snug, though cork may dry slightly with age.
🤍 These jars aren’t just for cumin and cloves. Use them to store craft supplies (buttons, beads, glitter), bath salts, loose tea, seeds and herbs, potpourri, tiny office supplies, or as DIY wedding favors filled with spices or candy.
