đ¤ This adorable Peanuts set celebrates the 30th anniversary of âA Charlie Brown Christmas.â
It was produced by Hallmark in 1995 and includes four colorful figurines with their original metal hangers plus a snowy display stand.
Each character comes in its own red holiday box and they can either hang on your tree or group together on the base for a heartâwarming scene.
đ History & inspiration â The animated television special A Charlie Brown Christmas premiered on CBS on December 9 1965 and was the first TV special based on Charles M. Schulzâs Peanuts comic strip. Created on a small budget and sponsored by CocaâCola, it was produced by Lee Mendelson and directed by Bill Melendez using child voice actors. The programâs jazzy soundtrack by pianist Vince Guaraldi and its honest critique of holiday commercialism led network executives to predict failure; however, the special was an instant success and went on to win both an Emmy and a Peabody Award.
In the story, Charlie Brown chooses a tiny, real Christmas tree, prompting Linus to recite the Nativity story and remind everyone of the true meaning of Christmas.
đ¤ Hallmarkâs 1995 Keepsake ornament series marked the 30th anniversary of the special, inviting fans to relive the scene with miniature figurines and a snowy base.

Linus is bundled in a blue coat and yellow cap, hands clasped behind his back. Snoopy looks dapper in a red jacket, green scarf and black top hat decorated with holly. The tiny tree in the center has a single pink ornament, just like the special, and Woodstock balances on a branch in his Santa hat.
đ Each hanging ornament measures up to about 3 inches high Ă 2Ÿ inches wide Ă 1½ inches deep (approximately 7.6 Ă 5.7 Ă 3.8 cm).
When displayed on the base the entire scene measures roughly 3½ inches tall Ă 6â
 inches wide Ă 2ž inches deep (about 8.9 Ă 17.5 Ă 7.0 cm).
The pieces are handcrafted plastic and were manufactured in China, Sri Lanka and Thailand for Hallmark in 1995. The underside of the base reads âPEANUTSÂŽ â A Charlie Brown Christmas Television Special â Happy 30th Anniversary 1965â1995 â ChristmasâŚÂ Season of Joy.â
âď¸ All four ornaments and the base are in excellent vintage condition, clean and bright. They are like new. One box has minor tears (see photos). The set presents beautifully, and the colours remain vivid.
