📜 This brooch was made by Gerry’s Creations, Inc., a beloved American costume jewelry company founded by Geraldine Giles in the early 1950s. Based in the U.S., Gerry’s became famous for its whimsical figural brooches—especially Christmas pins, animals, and novelty designs. The company thrived during the golden age of costume jewelry (1950s–1980s) and continued producing until the mid-1990s, when it closed its doors. Today, Gerry’s pieces are sought after by collectors for their nostalgic charm and playful designs.
Our owl brooch likely dates to the 1960s–1970s, when Gerry’s was producing its popular “jelly belly” style pins with cabochon glass or synthetic stones.
