🤍 A wonderful pair of vintage Alaskan folk art wall masks featuring two joyful and realistic characters named Sam and Susie!
Both have beautifully expressive, hand-painted faces with deep smile lines, squinting eyes, rosy cheeks, and wonderful personalities.
Their faces are surrounded by thick, textured parka-style hoods, giving these pieces a distinctive mid-century Alaskan souvenir art appearance.
Made in Alaska and retaining their original labels, these decorative wall hangings are identified as works by Brad & Sally Temple, with a copyright date of 1965.
The two characters have slightly different expressions. Sam has a broad, closed-mouth smile showing his teeth, while Susie is laughing with her mouth wide open. The detailed facial modelling and individually painted features make them especially charming when displayed together.

Both masks are included in this listing. Each has a metal hook on the reverse for wall display.
✔️ Good vintage condition, with normal signs of age and use, including minor surface marks and wear to the painted finish. No chips or cracks have been observed.
🔔 Important condition detail: The delicate fibers surrounding the faces have become fragile with age and can gradually loosen or shed when touched, handled, or disturbed. When the masks are left hanging undisturbed, without movement or airflow, the fibers generally remain in place. We recommend displaying these pieces in a sheltered location and avoiding unnecessary handling.
The original labels remain attached, with visible age-related wear and discoloration. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition description.
